ARTOTEL Surabaya proudly present solo art exhibition of Mr. Suwandi Waeng with title “Trans Plastik” that is held at ARTSPACE, lobby level, from 3rd June until 2nd July 2016.
Suwandi Waeng has a deeep concern towards the effect of used plastic in environment, self-taught himself to tweak and explore the use of plastic. He wants to create an awareness that the over-use of plastics can caused over consumption behaviour and pollution. Using plastic as his muse, Suwandi Waeng is exploring the connection between colors, textures, and chemical effects mainly used by plastics.
